Yes. GamePlay 3D v1.7.0 is being delayed by a 3-4 more weeks Unfortunately our Gaming R&D team had a ton of work for GDC 2013 this year(Booth, Presentations, etc.).It took much of our free time away from us and making us too busy to finish off the release in time.We are pushing back the release so that we can finish up the remaining issues, cleanup the repo and put some polish on the release.
I am also hoping to start to get more active community contributors. There are many small to medium size issues that could get resolved sooner if we get additional community support. I am confident people will start to step up and contribute back to the community on the items prioritized.
Post v1.7.0 we are going to re-examine the roadmap. I have created a backlog milestone that needs to be prioritized. There are also a few big ticket items that we we really want to start to add such as a SceneRender class with support for better lighting (Forward and Deferred) ad shadows that we are going to be working on internally.
I am also in the middle of the first QT based editor now. For the first iteration it will only be a scene viewer with no actually editing capabilities. The first goal is to just be able to quickly view scenes. Later releases will add to this adding support for creating and editing scenes.
One step at a time...
Our apologies for the delay of the release.
