Seamus Dever Teases “Gentle Cliffhanger” in Castle Season 5 Finale — Exclusive!

We’re two weeks away from the Castle Season 5 finale, and there’s no doubt that even though Castle and Beckett are currently together, they are both starting to question the future of their relationship.
We caught up with Seamus Dever (Kevin Ryan) at the College Television Awards on April 25 in Los Angeles, and he told us all about what the future holds for Caskett, Ryan and Jenny, and more.

Wetpaint Entertainment: What can you tease about the finale of Castle?
Seamus Dever: Full frontal male nudity. We shot it, I don’t know if ABC is going to use it but there was a lot of nudity going in for that last episode. That’s about all I can say, a lot of nudity.
What is up next for Kevin?
We’ll see Kevin starting a family, so I think we’re going to see the culmination of that family starting process in which case I mean probably a baby. What I mean is more nudity. Orgies, terrible orgies. No! So Kevin Ryan is headed in that direction and we’re going to see more of that next year. I think we’re going to see some choices that Beckett and Castle are making; it’s going to be very interesting and Esposito as well.
Are Castle and Beckett beginning to question their relationship?
Well I think they’re questioning the nature of where are we going. I think they’re at that let’s talk about if phase where its like ‘OK what are we doing here? We’re together but it’s sort of like are we going to be serious, are we going to do this the rest of our lives?’ I think they’re at that moment where they’re sort of saying put up or shut up or what are we doing? It should be interesting!
Are you happy with how the season wraps up?
Yeah, it’s not as traumatic as the last couple of seasons where everything has been like there is a rift that shall never put us under! It’s sort of like OK so it’s a little bit less traumatic let’s just say. It has more of a gentle cliffhanger, more gentle than actually hanging off a building which was last year.
