中秋节是中国最重要的传统节日之一，庆祝活动定于农历八月十五，相传，嫦娥奔月成仙后，百姓们纷纷摆出蜜食鲜果祭月，祈求吉祥平安。<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"></?xml:namespace>
从此，中秋节拜月的风俗便在民间传开了，俗语说的好：“月是故乡名。”每到中秋这天，许多远在他乡的游子都会回家团聚，这一天，家人朋友欢聚一堂，共赏象征富足、和谐、吉祥的满月。大人们喜欢吃美味的月饼，而孩子们喜欢提着灯笼到处玩耍。

It is said that after Chang’e’s ascending to the moon and becoming the immortal, people displayed fruits and cakes to give sacrifices to her for good luck and peace.
Since then, the custom of moon worship has spread among the people.
As a saying goes,“The moon in your hometown is always the brightest.”
Many people who lives far away from their hometowns will go back to have a family reunion
On that day, family members and friends get together and enjoy the full moon which symbolizes abundance, harmony and good luck. Adults like to eat delicious moon cakes, while little ones run around with their lanterns.
