I first thought it to be a boyfriend being too persistent in his courting her. But I think it might be more of a battle with herself. Part of her worries, is paranoid, (days and nights and lightyears and still no disaster) and the other part of her wants to be free. Should we act like people who say they've seen it all before. I think that people who are anxious can act like that to hide their anxiety. I know i do it. Showing emotion takes personal freedom, indifference does not.
