De Ceglie Tells Juve: I Have No Say Over Future
Siena starlet Paolo De Ceglie has told Juventus that he has no say over whether or not he stays in Tuscany or moves back to Turin in the summer.
The left back moved to Siena from Juve at the beginning of the season on a co-ownership deal.
The 21-year-old has had a superb campaign thus far, leading to strong reports that Juventus want to buy back the remaining 50 per cent of his contract.
Siena are rumoured to be demanding €3.5m for the 21-year-old, a fee that sports director Alessio Secco is hesitant about paying.
“I’m happy that the Bianconeri sent me to another Serie A side where I have the chance to play regularly,” De Ceglie told Tuttosport.
“However, I still have a long way to go on this road before I can think about other things.
“I am a footballer and I just want to do my best on the pitch and I’ll leave the talk of contracts and transfers to the directors, as it’s their job.”
De Ceglie is regarded as one of Italy’ most promising young talents, and he is a regular in the Italy Under-21 national team.
The lightning-quick star was on duty for the Azzurrini on Tuesday night during the 2-1 friendly win over European Champions Holland.
