If you care about movies, then take off your boots: you*re home. This group is about gathering a community of film lovers and filmmakers in Shanghai. We want to watch movies, discuss movies, make movies, and meet people who can help us do these things better.
Join us every other week for Screencraft Sundays, featuring a Sunday evening film curated for quality and inspiration. The idea is to show films that care about "craft," that is, films that don*t just follow the sad old Hollywood mold but try to do something different and new. Films that care about how they inspire us.
For artists and filmmakers: we*re interested in planning some workshops too, and most of all in helping artists and filmmakers network. If you have short films of your own creation, talk to us about screening it.
And, of course, open to suggestions! Suggest activities you want to see happen, and movies you want to see screened.
