BS just lets 2d team play like crap, no passing, ball hogging, no timeouts to try and regroup them. Cause that's what tank commander does.

I forgot where I saw that, Lin mentioned BS told him to wait
for at least 3 passes or a transition break before he should shoot.
But BS obviously forgot to tell other players to make a pass
so it never hits the 3 passes quota.
BS' system is not true Princeton. Princeton relies on unselfish passing. It never works in a tanking team with players fighting to pad their stats. The only thing wrong Lin has done is he really wants to get this unrealistic offense going. It's harder than getting communism truly works.

Tale of 2 halves. 1st half was great, balanced scoring, defense, and finding the open player, esp NY at the corner for the 3 which you all are probably tired of hearing my say NY is the best cornerman on this team. On track for 16-20pts/6-8 assists. Still giving his man too much room and got burned a couple times on help defense, but he realized it and went back to tighter man coverage.
But 2nd half he totally went the opposite way. I didn't mind that TO much at the end of 3rd. But his 4th quarter performance was just...Awful. Its like Ten Ten said, he was shooting when he should be passing, and passing when he should be shooting. He abandoned his scoring game (shooting once in 8 minutes), something I notice when the team is behind he will prioritize facilitating (more like force feeding) over scoring and when his teammates are sucking he becomes well, invisible. The last game it paid off because NY hit most of his passes. This game not so much. He needs to carry the scoring load when people aren't hitting their shots, his teammates feeds off his aggression, and he shouldn't be spending half the quarter to figure this out. ADavis was shutting down the lane, I get it. But that doesn't mean he can't shoot from midrange or perimeter, he needs to lead the 2nd unit if they can't keep up with the offensive pressure. IMO he thinks its him being unselfish, its actually him being selfish and not lending his production to his team.
Lakers: C-
Ronnie was useless, got burned all game. So was Wes. Kobe hit a few shots then hurt his shoulders, but kept playing (sigh). Hill did a good job with rebs but was yet again invisible on defense. Team went ISO mode again in 4th, and Byron seems to condone it. NY needs to just take a few games off, he was awful tonight, and doesn't realize he plays on a team, tried too hard to draw fouls...But I guess you can't expect much from a guard who had a career high of 3 assists last game.

Garbage rotations. Playing a hurt Kobe, this coach is just beyond redemption. Also would it kill you to set Lin up with a few high PnRs? And you should have played Lin for all of 2nd and brought him in at 5min mark in 3rd, Price was freaking invisible. Kobe is a bad PG, give it up already. And give Lin a longer leash and let him bring home the bacon, your 2nd unit really is better than your starters. BTW, your starters suck, outscored 46 - 72, that's embarrassing, stop asking Lin to save your a$$ then throw him under the bus.

totally get you. but he could make a big leap in his own game here. these misreads and types of TO are consistent. just did this the other night. i actually think he could come out of this season being even better than before if he's making an earnest attempt to read the floor better.

This is the NBA where EVERYONE gets embarrassed regularly.
Lin did so much positive, a little turnover here and there is not going to make him a minus player out there.
If you want to assign blame to anyone, fire it at the outdated 80s coaching staff that plays slowdown basketball and gets angry every time Lin races downcourt on the break.

Let's hope he spends some time with the tape after this one...And less time on making videos.

A tale of two halves. Lin magnificent in first and deserving of early minutes AND more shots in the third. But actually gets LATER minutes in the third. unbelievable. but not unbelievable knowing who the coach is.
BUT Jeremy needs to watch the tape of that second half because its a perfect example of where he needs to improve.

that turnover at the end of the 3rd quarter was just brutal. NOT only did he have TIME and TRAILERS and NUMBERS but he got stripped the very same way he did the other night. setting up to do a step through move and exposing the ball to the defense. at least go behind your back when he cuts across you. slow down a tic for god's sake. its always full speed and damn the torpedos!

yep ...i know he should have more shots... but he completely lost his first half composure with that one turnover.
in the first half, he made a strong case for being the best player on the floor. in the second half, he rejoined the misfits.
too bad. because I loved how he was playing in the first half despite the lack of shots.

improve where you can improve despite the situation. he's not improving in the area that is hurting him the most... decisions in the open court and reading the floor in the half court.
I assign 80% of the blame to Byron.
but that doesn't mean Jeremy can't improve this aspect of his game and... HE SHOULD.

Lin is a professional entertainer. He's entitled to make fun videos that have nothing to do with his NBA ability. Besides, Lin was a major positive on the court today and all your hatred will not erase that.

absolutely agree with your assess about first half and shots...AND second half. yes LIN should be the engine and he should have been inserted into the 3rd with AT LEAST 4 minutes in the Q, maybe 5 or 6 the way he was playing. NOT at 2 minutes. ridiculous!!!
LIN didn't force a miss on that TO. he did get back but they converted.
I can't absolve him of the way he's reading the floor most of the time. just can't. he's really killing me right now with his reads. (Although...bright side... there were some better reads in that first half... that kick out to NICK was nice!)
