Taylor Swift's security team sprung into action when a man showed up on her NYC doorstep Tuesday evening ... TMZ has learned.
Taylor's guards detained the unidentified man, and someone called 911. NYPD and NYFD responded to Swift's Tribeca home around 6 PM and described the man as "disoriented" as he was handcuffed.
From the video, it appears he had a duffel bag ... which police searched. Law enforcement sources described him as "emotionally disturbed," and he was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Taylor was not home. It's unclear if he made any threats or actually gained access to her crib.
So far, he hasn't been booked for any crime.
A similar scene played out in February at Taylor's L.A. homes, where 2 men were arrested.

Karlie’s family has a home in Goshen, and the art exhibit that Karlie snapped from is located in Beacon. Goshen and Beacon are 30 miles apart.
Karle snapped pics of Josh in the Dia:Beacon exhibit after the driving snap, with her last snap from the exhibit at 1:58 pm (ET). So it is clear that Karlie was traveling from Goshen to the Dia:Beacon exhibit in her initial snap (pic above).
Driving from NYC to Dia:Beacon, you would not travel on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge …..the bridge is north of Beacon and NYC is south of Beacon.
So Karlie spent the weekend in Goshen with Kariann and her parents, likely had a mother’s day brunch with her family, and then drove with Kariann to the art exhibit to meet up with her beard, Josh. Karlie, Josh, and possibly Kariann too, then made their way back to NYC late Sunday afternoon.
So nope. Josh didn’t hang out on Mother’s Day with the Kloss family as might have been implied. Kariann drove Karlie to meet up with Josh at the exhibit after Karlie spent the weekend with her family at their Goshen, NY home. 💅
