外国语学院简介：
外国语学院是渤海大学下设的二级教学单位，其前身为始建于1983年的原锦州师范学院英语系。建院以来，学院一直秉承“以学科建设为龙头，以师资建设为重点、以教学质量为主线”的教学思想，坚持“做先进文化弘扬者、做诚实守信示范人”的育人理念，师资队伍健康发展，学术水平不断提高。学院现有“辽宁省百千万人才工程”入选者2人，具有高级职称人员33人，专任教师中85%以上人员具有硕士及以上学位。
目前外国语学院拥有英语、日语、法语3个本科专业，一个“外国语言文学”一级学科硕士点，下设英语语言学、日语语言学、英美文学与文化、英语教育、第二语言习得、翻译学、课程与教学论（英语）、课程与教学论（日语）、学科教学（英语）等多个二级学科授权点。学院是TESOL国际英语教师资格认证考试中心、国际汉语教师海外实习就业示范点。
The College of Foreign Languages (CFL) is a secondary teaching unit of Bohai University. Founded in 1983, CFL was formerly known as English Department of Jinzhou Normal College. Since its establishment, CFL has been adhering to its teaching motto of “led by discipline construction, focusing on the building of teaching faculty, and targeting on teaching quality” and holding its education concept of “training advanced culture popularizers and faithful morality demonstrators”. With the development of its teaching faculty, the academic competence of CFL is becoming more reinforced - 33 teachers are honored with senior professional titles, with 2 of them enlisted on “Talents Project of Liaoning Province”. In addition, nearly all of the teaching staff have obtained either Masters or Doctoral degrees.
Currently, the College of Foreign Languages has three undergraduate programs, which are English, Japanese, and French; a1st-class Master degree program of "Foreign Languages and literature", and a 2nd-class Master degree program of "Education". The Master programs are with such diversities of research areas as English Linguistics, Japanese Linguistics and Literature, English Literature and Culture, English Education, Second Language Acquisition, Translatology, Curriculum and Teaching Theory (English), Curriculum and Teaching Theory (Japanese), Subject Teaching (English). CFL is also a testing center of International Teacher’s Qualification Certificate of TESOL and the demonstrative site of overseas internship employment for Teaching Chinese as a Second Language.
