My grandfather was one of the men evacuated from Dunkirk in WW2. A young coal miner from Wales, he apparently suffered a lot from the experience and died before I was born. If not for the Dunkirk evacuation me, my mother, my sister, my nephews and my daughter would not have been born. Thanks to everyone involved.
