In Tokyo, V6 member Okada Junichi (28) attended a press conference announcing the new series of TV commercials for Sony’s digital video camera ‘Handycam’ and the digital camera ‘Cyber-shot’. In the commercials children will construct an ‘aquarium without water’ by making fish, whale and other crafts of sea creatures. Okada, using the two cameras, will take photos and film the children as they gradually change the school playground and classrooms into an aquarium. There will be two versions of TV ads for each camera. A ‘Day Whale’ and ‘Night Whale’ version for the Handycam, and a ‘Deep Sea Fish’ and ‘Panorama View of Aquarium’ version for the Cyber-shot. The whole filming of the commercial took place at a disused school in Chiba. Okada looked back at the commercial production. “Since the kids were having such a great time, I couldn’t stop smiling. I nearly forgot that we were filming commercials. I really had fun during the two days, and I’m sure people who watch the ads will be able to tell.” The commercials are scheduled to start appearing from August 29th.
