call on在这里是“借助”的意思；而solitary的确是形容词，但是原句的语序不是很好理解，我调整了一下，你看看是不是更容易理解了？我的调整并不是认为原文语法有问题，我调整的原因是为了句子更加容易理解，更加符合一般的习惯。
