德里克•沃尔科特（Derek Walcott），圣卢西亚诗人、剧作家及画家，主要作品有《在绿夜里》、《西印度群岛》、《白鹭》等。曾获得1992年诺贝尔文学奖和2011年艾略特奖。Love after love这首诗探索的是当一个人从绝望的爱情中解脱出来后所应持有的正确心态，爱情会遮蔽人的双眼，而失恋给人一个“痛苦”的机会去重新认识自己、爱上自己。

OF TRUTH

elder：An elder is any person who is older than you, which you may know from your sister who is only two years older than you saying, "Listen to your elders!" A church elder is someone who helps run the church, not necessarily its eldest member.
