Two of the selati male lions were seen this morning, the remain nervous and one (Selati 3) have bad limp from the recent encounter with majingelane male lions. For couple of days now we haven't seen the selati 1, who is badly injured.

This morning we woke up to Lions roaring close to the Lodge. Not knowing which males it was we set out to find them! It was the Majingilane males on the scent of one of the Othawa females. They found the one female and chased her around. Eventually she gave in and allowed one of the Males to mate with her! We wait in anticipation to see what is going to happen next...

Lion update: About 4 cubs of othawa pride were seen without the adult. Ximhungwe Lion Pride were also found this afternoon and Selati one was seen today resting about 2 kilometers from majingelena males.

It has been quite a busy few days for the Othawa female. Her pride has been scattered by the arrival of the Madjingilane males but she has led the males straight up the garden path and is currently still mating with them. This could possibly buy the cubs some time as some of the males have now shifted their focus a tad.

Idube Game Reserve：Only this guy (scar nose). Two of the selati males went east after some buffalo a couple of days ago, the third (#3) has not been seen since we had all three together last week.
只看到疤鼻，其他保卫者貌似回东部了。两头南联盟跟着牛群一路向东，上周最后一次看到三南齐聚，之后再也没有见过南老三。
2014.5.21.疑似南老三的尸骨被发现...
There is news that the remains of a male lion were seen a week ago in the west when the other two Selati went east. No ID could be made since only a half mane & bones were found.
This is all we know right now.
一周前在西部发现了一具雄狮的残骸，由于只剩下部分鬃毛和骨头，无法确定身份。南老大和南老三则跟着牛群一路向东。

Rob Vamplew：Please take a look at some of the pictures posted of the Majingis when they first started mating with the Othawa lioness, at least three had cuts and scratches at that time, we thought at first it could have been from each other fighting over the lioness but now it seems more likely a fight with Selati #3, he was not seen since the night before the Majingis arrived. I remember posting pictures of the Selatis with fresh wounds after the fight with Cleo too so the fight did happen even if people want to beleive otherwise, Singita has less vehicle traffic on their property so it is highly likely that cleos remains were consumed before anybody found it. We relocated the 3 Cheetah on Buffalo plains to start the afternoon off. We then found a Honey Badger on Rhino run and then we had the Selati male lions close to South gate.

The two Selati males are still at the dead hippo, which by now has such a smell that only those with the strongest stomachs, and the very desperate are going close to get photos! The lions however have no problem and are sitting around with full bellies, happy as a lion can get.

10-12 September 2014
Arriving at Main Dam, we found the Lions had moved off. AK then said he had one male Lion at Main Dam. One of the Selati males had made his way for a drink and we had achieved our plan for the afternoon. The other male soon joined him at the Dam; it seemed that they were done with the Hippo carcass, which I’m sure was tasting worse than it smelt (which was not good).
We then found the Selati male Lions at the Main Dam wall. They hadn’t moved far, but had eaten about half a Hippo, over the last few days. They were very sleepy, and we only spent about fifteen minutes, before heading further east.

It was a great afternoon.
We found the two Selati male lions on Nzaka loop. There were a few Buffalo bulls at Main Dam. Andrew also had a herd of Elephant at Main Dam. I had two Elephant bulls close to South gate. Late in the drive, the other guides had the Rhulani male leopard and a female Leopard at New Pump. It sure beats traffic!
今天下午遇到的南联盟两兄弟，它们仍然停留在Tintswalo营地。
它们已经在这个地区停留了好几个月了，似乎把这个地方当成了新的安身之处。马蹄吧北队一直忙于北伐而无暇顾及后方才给了南联盟兄弟俩这难得的喘息机会，一旦以凶残霸道的北马回归发现南联盟，结果不堪设想，希望哥俩早日离开这块是非之地。

Tintswalo: Fun and games with the lions here in the Manyeleti. The Birminghams have been pigging out on buffalo and then decided to chase off one of the Selati males who wanted to join in the meal ! Check out this video of their encounter!

In an interesting turn of events, the two Selati males who have been biding their time in the Manyelethi, were located in the Northern Sabi Sands this morning.The area is core Matimba territory, and to my knowledge, they havent had an altercation with the Matimbas yet. Interesting times ahead!

As mentioned in previous posts, the lion dynamics have been incredible to watch lately. In a rather surprising twist, the two Selati males were located with the Nkuhuma pride, but without any signs that they intend to wipe out the cubs. This should be interesting, as this is one of the Matimba males core prides, and should these two get caught, I suspect all hell will break loose!
难以置信的事情发生了，两头南联盟与Nkuhuma狮群在一起，南联盟兄弟好像没有任何杀死这些幼崽的打算。Nkuhuma狮群是南马兄弟的最主要的狮群，如果马三五看到这一幕....

We had two Lion sightings in the afternoon. Firstly we had two of the Birmingham females at Main Dam to start off with. Alistair found the two Selati male lions mating with the other Birmingham female on Nzaka loop. There were also several Elephant sightings around the central Manyeleti.
